The Apple mural

16/10/2019

The apple mural by Aleksandar Obrenović was painted on the facade in front of the city administration of Gradiška. The very name and main motif of the mural points to Gradiška as the largest producer of apples in Bosnia and Herzegovina. While devising the rest of the composition, we came up with the idea of depicting recognizable historical buildings on the apple itself. Vrijećnica , the Sava bridge and religious buildings are just some of the motifs. The inner part of the apple shows the street "Srpska varoš" according to a photo from our past. All this historical and cultural wealth has been carefully preserved by the hands of our ancestors for generations. Young hands learn about it, inherit it and continue to walk in the footsteps of their ancestors.
